Custom Printed Paper Boxes for Retail and Gifts
Create custom printed packaging with your logo, product dimensions and choice of materials and finishes. Compare folding cartons, rigid gift boxes, drawer boxes and corrugated mailer boxes to find a structure that suits your product, sales channel and delivery needs.
Start with the product
Compare paper box structures by product fit, presentation, budget and delivery method.
A lightweight skincare bottle may only need a folding carton for shelf presentation. A gift set may need a rigid board box and a fitted insert. An ecommerce kit needs enough corrugated strength to travel without an additional presentation box becoming damaged.
That is why our first questions are practical: What goes inside? How heavy is it? Will the box sit on a retail shelf or ship directly to a customer? Is the packaging meant to protect, present, or do both? Once those answers are clear, material, printing and finish choices become much easier.
Products and applications
Paper box solutions chosen around what goes inside
Explore twelve packaging applications, from retail cartons to gift sets and recurring deliveries. Images illustrate packaging ideas rather than verified customer projects. Confirm the structure and materials around your actual product before sampling.

Skincare and cosmetic boxes
Folding cartons give bottles and tubes a clean retail surface while leaving room for ingredients, directions and shade or formula details.

Perfume presentation boxes
Rigid paper boxes and fitted inserts steady glass bottles, control the reveal and make fragrance launches feel more considered.

Drawer boxes for small valuables
A sliding tray, soft insert and pull tab create a compact presentation for necklaces, rings and other small accessories.

Protective tech accessory boxes
Rigid board and molded paper inserts separate chargers, cables and devices so each component arrives organized and protected.

Candle and diffuser gift boxes
Two-piece boxes support glass jars and fragrance bottles with inserts selected around weight, movement and the desired gift level.

Tea and confectionery boxes
Divided paper boxes organize tins, chocolate and small food gifts while keeping the assortment easy to pack and present.

Apparel and accessory boxes
Shallow drawer paper boxes protect folded scarves, knitwear and fashion accessories without making the pack feel oversized.

Corporate and product launch sets
Book-style boxes combine several items into one deliberate presentation for samples, onboarding kits and premium campaigns.

Vitamin and supplement cartons
For sealed bottles and individually packed sachets. A compact folding carton provides space for product information and makes different formulas easy to identify.
Before sampling: Confirm bottle or sachet size, units per box, artwork per SKU and space for batch coding. The carton is secondary packaging, not a moisture or freshness barrier.

Soap and shampoo bar boxes
For individual bars and coordinated bath collections. Printed tuck cartons or sleeves offer a compact retail format with room for scent names, ingredients and product details.
Before sampling: Check the finished bar dimensions, any inner wrap, and moisture or oil transfer on a sample. Choose a closed carton or open sleeve to suit the product.

Subscription and replenishment kits
For recurring beauty, wellness and lifestyle deliveries. A corrugated mailer with an adaptable divider can organize changing assortments while keeping packing straightforward.
Before sampling: Share the smallest and largest order mix, packed weight and shipping channel. Check fit, closure and transport protection with the actual products.

Notebook and writing sets
For notebook-and-pen collections, planners and coordinated desk gifts. A shallow drawer or lid-and-base box keeps the set organized without excessive depth.
Before sampling: Confirm notebook thickness, pen retention and finger access. Compare a paper insert with a simpler divider, and allow for an outer carton when shipping.
Explore stationery drawer boxes →Start with product fit, easy packing and clear information. Compare paper inserts and simpler finishes where appropriate; confirm recycling guidance for the complete packaging in the destination market.
Choose by purpose
Compare Folding Cartons, Gift Boxes and Mailer Boxes
Use these four structure options as a starting point. The final specification depends on product size, weight, packing method and order quantity.
| Structure | Choose it when | What should be confirmed |
|---|---|---|
| Folding carton | You need lightweight retail packaging, sharp color printing and efficient flat shipping. | Paperboard grade, bottom construction, coating, print coverage and outer shipping protection. |
| Rigid gift box | The packaging must feel substantial and premium for gift sets, beauty collections or higher-value products. | Greyboard thickness, wrapped paper, opening style, insert fit and freight volume. |
| Drawer or lid-and-base box | The opening experience and product presentation are part of the value of the item. | Tray tolerance, ribbon or thumb cut, insert material, pull direction and packing speed. |
| Corrugated mailer box | The same box needs to organize the product and handle ecommerce delivery. | Flute grade, product weight, drop protection, inside printing and whether an insert is required. |
Explore custom folding cartons, drawer boxes with sliding trays and printed mailer boxes. For retail packs with a micro-flute structure, compare micro-corrugated retail boxes.
Material before decoration
Paperboard, Kraft and Rigid Board Options
SBS and FBB paperboard give cosmetics, supplements and retail products a smooth surface for fine text and controlled color. Kraft paper creates a more natural character, but the brown base changes how light colors appear. Drawer paper boxes use greyboard wrapped with printed or specialty paper, while corrugated board adds the structure needed for delivery.
The best material is not automatically the thickest one. It is the board that protects the product, runs efficiently on the packing line and gives the required print result without unnecessary weight or cost.
Finish with a reason
Logo Printing and Finishing Options
Review CMYK or Pantone color references with your artwork, then choose finishes to suit the design. Matte or gloss lamination sets the surface appearance. Foil stamping highlights logos, embossing and debossing add texture, and spot UV creates contrast on selected areas.
Using every finish at once rarely makes a better box. We normally recommend one or two effects that support the brand position and remain stable during production.
Before bulk production
Custom Box Samples: Fit, Print and Finish Checks
Agree on what your sample will demonstrate. An unprinted structural sample checks fit and assembly. A printed sample checks layout and the agreed print effects. For a pre-production sample, confirm which materials, finishes and assembly details represent the bulk order.

- Does the product fit correctly?
Identify product dimensions separately from box inside dimensions, including units. Check insert fit, loading and removal with the actual product, without excessive pressure or movement. - Does the box open and close naturally?
Tabs, lids, trays, magnets and ribbons should work without slowing the packing process. - Is the color direction acceptable?
Confirm the physical color reference and proofing method. Paper, ink and finishes affect appearance; screen previews are not a physical color standard. - Are the finishes positioned correctly?
Foil, embossing, spot UV and windows must align with the artwork and structure. - Does the insert protect and present the product?
Paperboard, EVA, foam, molded pulp or a divider should match product weight and presentation. - Can the finished box be packed and shipped efficiently?
Flat packing, assembled volume, outer cartons and destination all affect the final cost.
Practical answers
Custom Paper Box Pricing, MOQ and Lead Times
What information gives the most accurate quotation?
Send the product dimensions and weight, preferred box style or reference image, quantity, delivery country, artwork status and any required finish or insert. When several quantities are possible, we can compare them.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Many custom paper box projects start from 500 pieces. The practical MOQ can change with the structure, material, printing process and finish, so it is confirmed after the specification is reviewed.
Can Wzpackage help when the box structure is not decided?
Yes. Product size, weight, sales channel, target quantity and a reference photo are enough for an initial recommendation. Artwork can follow after the structure is confirmed.
How long do sampling and production take?
Sample timing depends on the structure, printing method and finishes. Confirm the sample type, cost and lead time before ordering. Production and shipping schedules are quoted separately.
What affects the price most?
Finished size, structure, material thickness, quantity, print coverage, special finishes, insert complexity, assembly method and delivery destination all affect the quotation.
